Grain Trading Team
CRT’s grain trading capacity has recently been boosted with the addition of Chris Sutherland as a grain trader in June 2011, joining Mark Elliotte and Gary Mitchell (Southland, South Otago) in the grain and seed trading department.

Mark Elliotte - General Manager Grain & Seed Division
Mark brings a wealth of industry experience and knowledge to the role with over 20 years' experience as a grain and seed merchant in his family business of Annett Grain & Seed Ltd. This involved grain and seed trading, seed multiplication, retailing of seed, chemical and fertiliser. He was also involved in the establishment and management, as both a director and managing director of the plant breeding and export-based company Plant Research NZ Ltd for 10 years.
Mark oversees the management and operations of the Retail Seed Department and controls the prompt and forward contract operations of the Grain and Seed Trading Department.

Chris Sutherland - Grain Trader
Chris is based in Christchurch and was previously the grain trading manager for the Canadian multi-national, Viterra. He brings to CRT experience in domestic and imported grain and futures trading.

Gary Mitchell - Grain Trader
Gary is responsible for the grain trading in Southland and South Otago. Gary has a wealth of knowledge and experience in this role having previously worked for Annett Grain & Seed Ltd and the South Island Barley Society. He is also involved in the retailing of seed and chemical.
