CRT Nutritionist
Christine Sydenham
Christine has extensive experience in quality assurance and animal nutrition and research and wrote her thesis on deer nutrition at the University of Queensland where she completed her Masters in Agricultural Studies.
Her animal nutrition philosophy is one of complete nutrition while still being cost effective. "Regardless of what type of farm you have, it is essential to have proper animal nutrition if you want or try to reach the genetic potential and production of livestock on that farm," Christine says. "This includes providing the right nutrients according to the animals' needs and ensuring it's done at the most economical cost."

CRT Technical feed specialist - Southland/Central Otago
Neville Hamilton
Neville has been working alongside Southland farmers for many years and has extensive knowledge of the dairy and deer industries and the nutritional requirements needed to obtain top production. His new role will also see him branch out into the Central Otago region.
"The evidence is out there that you get out what you put in and when farmers see the results of how nutrition can positively impact on the wellbeing of their animals and their bottom line, it doesn't actually take any convincing. We can get magic results for them by creating specific regimes suited to their needs."

CRT Technical feed specialist - Southland/South Otago
Neville Knight
Neville has worked in the agronomy field for many years, you may recognise him as a former Ballance technical sales representative. Neville has recently joined the team and is happy to pass on the vast knowledge he has gained from both that role and that of running a successful sharemilking business with wife Raewyn.
"We're here to provide solutions for farmers that are successful. Whether they need advice on what feed to grow or information on how introducing a supplementary feed into their current system can increase their production. We receive ongoing training and support so we are able to draw on a vast range of resources."

CRT Technical feed specialist - South Canterbury/North Otago/Mackenzie
David Fairhall
CRT technical feed specialist David Fairhall has more than 16 years working in the feed sector. He is able to assist with all stock feed regimes from calf and dairy through to sheep, beef and deer.
"I have always been interested in how feed regimes can successfully impact on a farmer's business and how it can add value to their production. By combining the knowledge of the farmer and feed specialist it is amazing the results you can get."

Andrew Mitchell
After dairy farming for 30 years Andrew knows the challenges faced by farming shareholders. He is able to assess the quality of animals, the feed system being used and production expectations and assist in designing a feeding plan which helps shareholders reach their targets.
"My passion is animal nutrition. It's something that as a dairy farmer I was always trying to improve for my own animals and anything to do with agronomy and nutrition has always been my special interest. I really want farmers to get the best bang for their buck."
