From the CEO - February 2012

Brent Esler, CEO

The past two months gave a stark reminder to us of the power and influence of nature on our business, as across our geography we endured floods, droughts and a fresh wave of earthquake aftershocks.

December proved to be a very strong sales month for CRT and has been one of the biggest months in CRT FarmCentre history; it indicates how busy our shareholders have been, and how busy our team has been responding to your needs.

In January Colm Hamrogue joined the CRT executive team. Colm migrated from Ireland immediately following his wedding to Bernadette in December, to take a role as Chief Operating Officer for CRT. Colm most recently worked in a rural market very similar to ours as the General Manager Marketing for a fuel and oil distributor in Ireland. Colm holds two degrees majoring in marketing and strategy and is a former president of the Irish Student Union. Rugby and golf are his major interests and he is looking forward to the tour by the Irish rugby team in the middle of the year.

We welcome Colm to the team and I am sure his skills and fresh perspective will add significant value for our shareholders in his career with CRT.

Our team are now finalising preparations for the Southern Field Days at Waimumu which are being held from February 15 to 17, and the Wanaka Show on March 9 and 10. We look forward to connecting with many of our shareholders at these events.
